The Golden State stole my heart from my first visit. It was the climate. It was the people. It was the landscape. It was the dramatic clash of ocean and desert. It was the bombastic bounty of nature. It was the sweet sound of culture, the bright mix of souls from all different walks of life.

It was all of the above.
